What to Expect Banner.jpg

We realize that visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous.

  • Where do I go?
  • What do I wear?
  • What time do I show up?
  • Do I bring my kids in the auditorium with me?

These and other questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease. We want your first visit to Bible Baptist Church to be as refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family as possible.

Here are a few answers to your questions that we have tried to anticipate...

Where should I go when I arrive?

We have two primary entry points into our church facility. We have a handicap ramp entrance, but also the main entrance. We encourage everyone that does not require the handicap entrance to enter the building at the main entrance at the front of the building! Inside the main entrance is a lobby that has and Welcome Center, our bathroom facilities, easy access to our class rooms, a rear entrance into our auditorium, and access to stairway to the ground floor of our facility which houses additional classrooms, fellowship hall and our kitchen. There should be someone in the lobby ready to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

What should I wear?

There is not a dress code at Bible Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastor and many of our church family dress in more traditional "Sunday" dress; however, a specific attire is not required, and our members wear a variety of styles of clothing. We think it makes sense to wear clean, modest clothing to church. If you do as well, you certainly will not feel out of place.

Do you have a nursery?

Yes. A clean, staffed nursery is provided during all services for children 3 years of age and under. If you do not feel comfortable leaving your infant in our nursery, we have at the rear of the auditorium a "bawl room" for mothers to sit with her infant and not worry about being a distraction if her infant does "bawl" during the service.

What are your services like?

Our services are what is commonly called "traditional." The worship music primarily is great hymns of the faith as well as some choruses. We do have special music from members of the congregation on occasion. The focus of all of our meetings is the public worship of God in "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" and the faithful preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Generally, we will have several hymns, prayer, an offering, and then a message from the Bible.

Do visitors have to stand up and say anything?

No, we would never want to embarrass a guest of ours. We will give you a connection card and ask you to drop it in the offering plate so we can have a record of your visit. We do have a free gift for each guest available at the information table following the service.

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Bible Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
